A pig figure outside of the Schweine Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.

During my trip to Stuttgart in Germany I visited the Schweine Museum (Pig Museum), a wonderfully quirky, fun to visit attraction that opened in May 2010 and have written about it for go-eat-do.com.

The Schweine Museum is informative in places and witty in others. It’s the largest pig-related museum in the world.

Here’s a link to my feature: The Schweine Museum (Pig Museum) in Stuttgart, Germany. I sincerely hope that you enjoy the feature and, naturally, that you don’t leave the site thinking I’ve made a pig’s ear of the write-up.  (As you’ll learn in the museum, there are a lot of phrases in languages around the world that feature pigs.)

The past few weeks have been busy and rewarding.

Over recent weeks I’ve travelled back to Hamburg in Germany, where I visited the city’s Christmas markets, including Santa Pauli and the Roncalli Christmas market. I’ve written for a newspaper on the back of that trip too. A number of food and drink stories will also be published as a result of that trip.

My trip the to the Netherlands in November resulted in a number of stories, including reviews of the art’otel amsterdam,  Citizen M Hotel and Eye Film Institute Netherlands.

I’ve also been to Warkworth in Northumberland and London, where I visited the new Le Secret des Rotisseurs restaurant at Canary Wharf.

On 26 December I photographed at Sunderland’s annual Boxing Day Dip, images that are available via Rex Features and Alamy.

I look to having more work published in the weeks ahead.

I’m back from an exhausting but fulfilling late April trip that took in five countries and provided lots of material for features and some very good photographs too.

I have new material from Munich, where I reviewed the BMW Museum, BMW Welt and Eurostars Grand Central Hotel.

In Italy I explored Cividale, Aquileia and Grado, cities withing the Friuli region, often termed the hinterland of Venice. I also looked at the castles at Duino and Mirimare, near Trieste.

In Slovenia I visited Portoroz and an agrotourism project.

Within Croatia I explored Pula and Rovinj.
